Float For Hope is a water-safety initiative through the Lee’s Summit R-7 Aquatic Center. Float for Hope provides Lee’s Summit R-7 students who are dealing with financial hardships the opportunity to participate in a water-safety based swim lesson program. Through the Float For Hope Foundation, we partner with outside water-safety and learn-to-swim organizations across the Greater Kansas City area to provide swimming lessons and community education opportunities, emphasizing the importance of water-safety and swimming skills. Since 2009, the Float For Hope Foundation has invested thousands of dollars in providing financial assistance to qualified students in the District for water safety and swimming classes. This effort helps educate and spread awareness, bringing together strategic partners to end drowning fatalities. To date hundreds of children have learned the life skill of swimming through Float For Hope.
