Float For Hope

About Float For Hope

Float For Hope is a financial assistance program that provides students in the Lee's Summit School District a means to participate in our water safety based swim programs.  Water safety and swimming skills must be inclusive and accessible to all students. Therefore, since 2009, the Float For Hope program has taught hundreds of Lee’s Summit School District students critical water safety/swimming skills. Our program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to be safe in and around water.

Float for Hope accepts financial donations. Your donation pays for students to be able to take part in swim lessons.

2nd Grade Swim Program

Our Float for Hope program allows us to offer a free session of water safety to 2nd graders at select elementary schools within the LSR-7 School District. Classes are offered after school in our spring season.

Classes are led by swim instructors working to develop floating and water safety/survival swimming skills in young swimmers.

The LSR-7 School District provides bus transportation from the participating elementary schools to the Aquatic Center. Parents/guardians are responsible for pickup.
