You may access those time standards here. Swimmers may be eligible for consideration if the swimmer possess a time within 3 seconds of any two events, and at the discretion of the head coach. Participants who do not meet the prerequisites will participate in an alternative developmental program to better suit their skill level and aid in developmental progression.
Short course prospective swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. This group will focus on the fundamentals of body position and proper technique, as well as building endurance and learning necessary racing skills, including starts and turns. This group is intended to develop emotional enthusiasm for swimming. This group will practice two days a week for one hour each day. While not required, swim meet participation is highly encouraged.
