Summit Surge Swim Team

Swimmers between 9 and 18 are welcome to join our Competitive swimming program. To be eligible to participate, prospective swimmers aged 11 and under must be able to swim 50 yards in all four competitive strokes, while those aged 12 and above must be able to swim 100 yards of each competitive stroke. Additionally, all potential swimmers must be two seconds away from achieving a "B min" short course (yards) time standard in at least two events for their age group as outlined by the USA Swimming National Motivational Time Standard at the discretion of the head coach. If you're not yet ready for the competitive program, don't worry! We have a supportive developmental program tailored to your skill level. For short-course swimmers, the requirement is to swim 50 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. This group focuses on technique, body position, endurance, and racing skills, meeting twice a week for one hour each practice. While swim meet participation is not mandatory, it's highly encouraged to help the athlete measure progress and foster a love for swimming.

Open House: At the Aquatic Center on Tuesday, July 16th from 5:30pm - 6:00pm.

One-time Swimmer Registration: Includes USA Swim Membership, the first monthly fee, a team shirt and swim cap, and administration fees.

· USA Swimming Membership fees are through Missouri Valley

· Registration for USA Swimming opens September 1st.

· Must get club code from head coach (Nicole Diamond).

· LSR7 Aquatic Center SSST registration opens August 1st.

Monthly Fees:  Due the 5th of each month or the first weekday of the month. Late payments will be subject to a $15 late fee.

Swim Meets and Fees: 

All participants that attend the scheduled USA Swimming-sanctioned swim meets will pay an entry surcharge plus a fee per individual event and relay as outlined by the official meet information of the hosting team and facility. (Generally, $5 per individual event, $7 per relay, and $5-$20 entry surcharge OR one flat entry fee, alternatively). A Travel Fee is added to the parent invoice of $10 if the team travels to any Missouri Valley Swim Meet. All Swimmers must participate in two (2) swim meets in the Short-Course Season. Once payment has been received or team entries have been submitted, refunds will not be issued.

Practice begins on September 3rd, 2024. The last day of practice is March 8th, 2025.

Practice times: 

• 5:30- 6:30pm (MON)

• 6:00PM- 7:30PM (T/TH)

• 8:00AM- 9:00AM (SAT)

Swimmers are required to attend at least two practices per week.

Swimmers must wear Club Swim Team swimsuits and bring their own equipment, including kickboards, pull buoys, training short-blade fins, snorkels, goggles, and a water bottle, to each practice. If needed, you can purchase this equipment at the Aquatic Center.
